It was established in Thailand by a group of educational experts in 2003 as a leading provider of quality tailored English language training across a range of academic and professional contexts. New Cambridge Institute prides itself on the positive contributions it makes by actively working in and serving the community. A range of activities are carried out on an ongoing basis such as charity sponsorship, providing various scholarships and engaging gin other challenging initiatives with the Thai Government Ministries. For example, the recent work New Cambridge Institute undertook in partnership with Liverpool Football Club and the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports to lead English football camps for underprivileged teenagers in Southern provinces.

	การจัดการเรียนการสอนที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญหรือเน้นผู้เรียนเป็นศูนย์กลางนั้นผู้เรียนจะได้รับการส่งเสริมให้มีความรับผิดชอบและมีส่วนร่วมในการเรียนรู้ของตนอย่างเต็มที่ ผู้เรียนแต่ละคนมีคุณค่าสมควรได้รับการเชื่อถือไว้วางใจ แนวทางนี้จึงเป็นแนวทางที่ผลักดันผู้เรียนไปสู่การบรรลุศักยภาพของตน โดยครูจะเป็นผู้จัดสถานการณ์ต่าง ๆ เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ผู้เรียนแสดงออกซึ่งศักยภาพหรือความรู้ความสามารถของตนด้วยการเรียนรู้จากการปฏิบัติของตนเอง (Learning by doing) หรือ Learner Autonomy สรุปองค์ความรู้ที่ได้จากการปฏิบัติด้วยตนเอง สอนให้ผู้เรียนคิดมากกว่าจำ สอนให้ทำมากกว่าท่อง ทำให้นักเรียนกลายเป็นบุคคลแห่งการเรียนรู้หรือเป็นผู้นำตนเอง นักเรียนไทยมักมีปัญหาในการพัฒนาทักษะทางภาษาอังกฤษ เราจึงพัฒนาหลักสูตร ที่เหมาะสมกับนักเรียนไทยโดยเฉพาะ ทำให้ผู้เรียนสามารถพัฒนาทักษะของตนอย่างต่อเนื่อง แม้ว่าจะเรียนจบไปแล้วก็ตาม
